On Christmas Eve, Edwin arranged the presents under the tree while Sophie brought over a plate of freshly baked cookies. Meanwhile, Pip was busy moving a chair beside the fireplace.
"Who's that for?" Dad asked.
"Santa, of course! He'll be tired after delivering presents all night."
Mom smiled and draped a cozy blanket over the back of the chair, while Dad placed the cookies on a little table beside it.
Nibs circled the chair once before curling up next to it, as if he, too, were waiting for their special late-night guest.
While we look forward to receiving gifts, we can also give a little warmth to others..
